The building industry is siloed in terms of data interoperability between architects, engineers, contractors, and owners/operators - impeding their ability to analyze or leverage data produced at disparate phases of the planning, design, construction, and operation phases. The future of building data will be driven by the unification of data across the entire building lifecycle using a network of robust API's. The implications of this unification will be drastic and will have lasting impacts on the experience of our surroundings and the ability of the internet-of-things to reach its full potential in the context of the built environment.
